Zip-Chem Products today announced grant of trademark for their entire Corrosion Inhibiting Compound product line under the name Cor-Ban. This designation will preface the numerical designation of all new products being presented from this date forward.

Some Zip-Chem customers have already received information from one or more of the major airframe manufacturers referencing several products that are awaiting specification publication and formal QPL status. These products have been in test for several years and may even show a reference to the initial Laboratory number. Zip-Chem can provide clarification on this matter in the case of any confusion.

At this time, there are two new products that will be part of this name change:

Cor-Ban 27L is a superior static joint corrosion inhibiting compound containing no chromates or trace asbestos. It has outperformed every product in its class. Cor-Ban 27L is awaiting the issue of BMS 3-27B and the QPL is pending. Cor-Ban 27L was formerly known as ZC-027L.

Cor-Ban 35 is our next generation corrosion inhibiting compound. It exhibits superior corrosion resistance at a reduced dry film thickness with a faster dry time than any of our previous products. We are awaiting the issue of BMS 3-35 and the QPL is pending. Cor-Ban 35 was formerly known as ZC-028.
